As long as we don’t change the input during that pass, all of the nodes will see inputs that are consistent with each other. In single-threaded runtimes like JavaScript, this condition is very easy to achieve, and even if we introduce concurrency, we only need simple locking primitives to ensure that we wait until the pass is finished before making changes to the inputs.
